Where Real Estate Agents Can Get Links

Where Real Estate Agents Get Links

National Directories for real estate agents (Realtors) that focus on Residential Real Estate that is Owner-Occupied – For any Realtor that wants to provide additional information on any of these sites (or other sites), click our “contact” link at the top of any page to get in touch.

General Directories that are Highly Recommended:

You really need to be on all five of these directories. Click on the site’s title to get to the signup page (or at least close to it).

Open Directory Project (DMOZ)home page – history at archive.org

In days past, this site was considered the authority, ans was completely necessary in order to develop good search engine ranking.  We still strongly recommend you figure out a way to get in this directory, if you can.  Find the page you want to be listed on, then click “Suggest URL” at the top of that page.  Submit your site.  Then wait.  Be warned, however, most submissions to DMOZ are ignored, so it is likely you’ll never get listed.  Try anyway.

Howzes – home page – history at archive.org

That’s us!  Online since 2006, we created Howzes specifically with the idea of creating market specific real estate related content.  In other words, this site is tailor made for providing relevant links for Realtors, providing highly relevant links for the best SEO benefits possible.  There is a one-time charge of $5 – a bargain.

Feynd Web Directory – home page – history at archive.org

Feynd is an online directory like dmoz.org or the old Yahoo Search Directory.  Online since 2004, as can be seen in Archive.org (link above), and with the demise or Yahoo’s directory in 2014 and the seeming abandonment of DMOZ.org almost since inception, Feynd is one of the handful of remaining quality directories for sites to list within.

Real Estate Directories that are Highly Recommended:

RealEstate ABChome page – history at archive.org

This site is just for real estate agents and Realtors, not for companies or anonymous sites.  Guest links are free, provided a reciprocal link is provided.  If you have a listings page or an IDX/VOW search page, you may wish to join as an official member, which doesn’t cost much, and will get additional links. Upgrades for photos and featured agents are also available, again at a fairly modest cost.

Realshome page – history at archive.org

Reals has been around a long time (view their history in the archive.org link above) and has hundreds of affiliated site as part of its network.  Thus, a link on Reals could go a long way, though it is unclear how they handle replicating this on their other sites.  A reciprocal link is free, and they also have paid links.

Real Estate Webmastershome page – history at archive.org

Run by SEO Guy, who presumably is an SEO guy, this site is a essentially a bulletin board discussing all manner of real estate, realty, Realtor, and search engine issues.  It also has a real estate agent directory.  No national sites are allowed.  First, you must create a home page link using their graphic.  Then you’ll need to make an entry in the forum requesting that your link to be added to the directory.

Real Estate Libraryhome page

This is yet another of the original real estate related directories, and perhaps the first site to promote themselves by way of awards.  It costs $59 as of the writing for a plain text link and $119, again as fo this writing, for a bold face link.  Links are generally presented under relevant state headings.
